Christel Alsos is known as the big voice from the north. She released her debut hit-single «Come On» in 2006 and the following album «Closing the Distance» with huge success in 2007. Since her debut Christel has released four studio albums, including the acclaimed Christmas album «I den kalde vinter».
Christel released her second album «Tomorrow Is» in 2010, and her third album «Precense» in 2013, which includes the song «Found» which was used in the seasons finale of «The Vampire Diaries». The same year Christel released the Christmas album in her native language - «I den kalde vinter». In 2016 Christel released her fifth studio album «At That Time of the Night», which is centered around all the emotions and feelings that are amplified during the darkest hours of the day. The release was followed by the nationwide «At That Time of the Night Tour», which also celebrated her ten year anniversary as an artist.
Christel is a seasoned and versatile artist with an earnest voice that is both distinctive and unique. Christel has been nominated for the Norwegian grammy award (Spellemann) three times, has toured the country multiple times with Kurt Nilsen, and collaborated with Joakim Berg of Kent, and the amazing Bo Kaspers Okester on the song «Håll Ut».
Christel is currently writing new material for her upcoming release.
